17 October: consultation opens
While the consultation is open, HCAPS members (and their Trade Union representatives) can ask questions and give feedback about the proposed changes to pensions.

18 December: consultation closes
We may extend the consultation if we need more time to gather feedback.
How it works
Right now, the switch from HCAPS to the Civil Service Pension Scheme is a proposal, not a final decision.
We want to know what you think about the proposal before we decide whether to go ahead with it or not – so we are consulting HCAPS members and their representatives, the Trade Unions, about the proposal.
Throughout the consultation, we will provide you with information about the proposal and various ways to tell us your views.
We will wait until the consultation is over, and consider all the feedback carefully, before deciding whether or not to go ahead with the proposed changes. That decision will be final.
A consultation like this is required by law when considering changes like these to our pension arrangements.
